Designed by Riccardo Blumer in 1996, the 'Laleggera' is widely considered as the purest manifestation of the archetypical chair. Built from solid ash wood and painted white, the contemporary white chair has been globally celebrated for its uncomplicatedness and purity, and in 1998 the design was awarded the prestigious Compasso D’Oro ADI. 'Laleggera' can be found in the permanent collections of New York's MoMa, Paris' Centre Pompidou and the Triennale in Milan.
