Video art pioneer and conceptual photographer William Wegman uses found objects and his loyal Weimaraners to create surrealist portraits. On the suggestion of Frederic Chambre of Piasa, he turned his attention to classic midcentury furniture, travelling to the studio of late master furniture maker George Nakashima in New Hope, Pennsylvania, and photographing his dogs Topper and Flo on Nakashima’s works. The resulting series of photographs went on sale at the French auction house, accompanied by this monograph, published by Piasa Editions in collaboration with Wallpaper*.
