Jules Wabbes

A flag bearer of Belgian design in the fifties and sixties, designer and interior architect Jules Wabbes (1919 – 1974) earned his reputation thanks to an artisanal approach to design, as well as a dedication to fine materials. Overseeing the design and furnishing of a variety of spaces that ranged from aircraft to offices, Wabbes' raison d'être was his seamless combination of leather with materials like wood and chromed steel, resulting in an aesthetic that was way ahead of the designer's time.
